With the rhythm of jury trials back in full swing after having been disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, it is more important than ever as practitioners to make sure that our trial skills are up to par. A set of experienced practitioners, as well as Chief Judge Philip Brimmer, will discuss the thought process and strategy behind attorney-conducted voir dire, best practices for conducting such voir dire, and pitfalls to avoid. The panel will also illustrate these principles by conducting a demonstration of voir dire practices with a mock jury, benefitting both newer and more-experienced attorneys.
