Dedicated to improving the quality of legal practice in Colorado's federal courts.
Due to continued COVID concerns, this program will be presented as a WEBINAR only.
This CLE will feature a panel of corporate legal officers and attorneys, including Miko Brown and Jason St. Julien of Airbnb, and Ryan McManis of Lumen Technologies, to address the current landscape of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The panelists will discuss, among other things, what they are doing to promote DE&I in the competitive corporate world, how have they witnessed first-hand the importance of diverse teams driving innovation and efficacy in legal work, what they wish outside counsel would do better when it comes to DE&I, and how they have seen attitudes toward—and strategies regarding—DE&I work shift over the last two years, including how we can combat “diversity fatigue” in this work. The panel will be moderated by Valerie Portillo, Legal Department and Law Firm Integration Strategist for Diversity Lab, a leading incubator for experimental ideas to boost DE&I in law (such as the Mansfield Rule) that collaborates with top law firms and legal departments across the country.
